Sunday 31st August 2014 - A Bit Quiet, Self Sufficient and the Chickens

Nothing of special note since Wednesday, just the usual shopping, walking Barney and gardening. Last Sunday I resumed walking with Peter and Barney in the mornings and for the first part of the week this was round the village doing our usual litter picking. The last couple of days we have been able to get down on the beach where Barney is able to have a good run off the lead. It won’t be long now before we will start to see the sun rising above the horizon when we set out in the mornings. Sunrises are best when there are some clouds in the sky with the sun’s rays highlighting them in reds, oranges and yellows. Something for us to look forward to. Afternoon walks are generally across the fields where the cereal crops have been harvested leaving stubble to be ploughed in. Other fields in the area have already been ploughed and sown and soon we will see the first green shoots appearing.
