Thursday 15th August 2013 - BBQ's, Saracens Head, Walks and Norfolk Bat Survey

It seems ages since I last put ‘fingers to keyboard’ to write my Diaries. I will start with last Thursday when we went with friends to see ventriloquist Steve Hewlett at Mundesley’s Coronation Hall. Steve was supported by comedian Tucker, both are skilled entertainers and together they provided an afternoon of laughter.

Apart from some rain showers the weather has been good for BBQ’s. Our first was on Saturday evening when we had a few friends round, this was followed by another for just the two of us on Sunday and on Tuesday we went to the annual Gardening Club BBQ.

With our eldest son and daughter-in-law staying with us since Monday, we have done a fair bit of eating out over the past few days. In particular we enjoyed lunch at The Saracens Head in Wolterton; described as ‘in the middle of nowhere but the centre of everywhere’. This is our second visit to the inn and we sat in the courtyard gardens enjoying the peaceful atmosphere before eating a delicious light lunch.
