delighted when our Clerk said the meeting would be taking a different format this year, with opportunities for the various clubs and societies to give reports as well as those from the Council. In the past, the meeting has revolved entirely around the Councils (Parish, District and County). The only input from clubs and societies has been written reports posted on display boards. Hopefully the new format will encourage more villagers to attend.

Following a visit to Woodgates, in Aylsham, we now have all our seeds ready for planting. This includes three varieties of potatoes, Colleen, an organic first early, Pink Fir Apple which is a salad potato and Spunta, a second early which is supposed to have the qualities of Cyprus potatoes. Now all we need is to wait for spring and the better weather so we can start planting. There are signs of spring about with catkins in the hedgerows, snowdrops in our garden and on the verges and it looks as though it will only be a matter of days before our crocus flowers open.
