Overstrand Life - Janet's Diaries

JULY 1st-15th 2010

We need rain. We are told that underground streams run under our garden, which probably accounts for the reason why our grass stays green when there has been little rainfall. But all is fast turning brown, with areas still green, looks not unlike camouflage and the brown areas crunch like a packet of crisps, as tufts fracture beneath our feet. Showers earlier this morning have done little, hardly permeating the surface, must be patient all will return to lushness, everything else flourishes so I will ignore and enjoy this wonderful weather.
