Over the past few weeks, while the pavement is being widened between the school and the new Hopkins Homes development on the Mundesley Road; there have been three way traffic lights at the junction of the Cromer and Mundesley Roads with the High Street. Work is almost complete but now we face disruption from Anglian Water who are laying 7.5kms of new mains water pipes through the village, down the coast to Mundesley. In view of the number of problems caused by bursts on the main road, Anglian Water considers this is the way forward with works either directly on the roads or in the fields. Various field areas along the road into Mundesely have been cleared to provide holding areas for equipment and materials dug out from trenches; one area is at the bottom of Madams Lane.

Monday 27th November 2017 - WI Walk and Boxing Day Swim

Our WI group always seems to strike it lucky with the weather for our walks and last Friday was no exception. It was one of those early winter days where the sun and blue skies make up for the cold. Our walks generally take us away from Overstrand but on Friday we strolled through the village and along the cliff tops, finishing with refreshments in the café at the Belfry Centre for Music and Arts with an opportunity to look at the artwork on display.
