Wednesday 21st October 2015 - Mizzling, Blickling Walk and Kestrel

On Friday we had our first of this seasons longshore herrings for dinner. Glistening with red gills, we are looking forward to enjoying more of these fish before they shoot their roes. The only downside with them is the smell that lingers after cooking. Despite having the kitchen window open, door closed and extractor running full pelt the smell still managed to permeate throughout our home.

I have been working on the publishing of my novel, On the Verge. This has now been uploaded for checking and providing it meets the required criteria, I will be in a position of order a couple of proof copies. What I don’t understand is; why it takes about two weeks for the proofs to be delivered and yet if you order a copy of the final published book through Amazon it takes just four days. As with, my short story Timotheus Pserimos Puss, I will be donating all profits from sales of On the Verge to The British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
