The Late Summer Fayre on 1st September produced an amazing £1,455 which has been divided between the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the Overstrand First Responder’s Fund. The Overstrand Organising Group have asked me to pass on their sincere thanks to all the local businesses and individuals for sponsoring, supporting and helping with the event. With such a grand result, I hope this will now become a regular event and if more people, clubs etc. are involved, who knows we could see an even bigger Fayre in the village in 2014.

This Thursday was the last Car Boot Sale of the season; it was rather a chilly overcast morning, (just 9°C when we drove into Cromer earlier in the morning) but as usual, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I heard on two occasions regular sellers being wished a ‘Happy Christmas and See You Next Year’!
